# Add Privatus Analytics to Podia

> Add cookieless analytics to a Podia site with the website tracking code field in Analytics settings, and see where the code does not run.

Your Podia plan must support custom code. If the option is disabled, you may
be on a trial or a plan without it.

1. From your home feed, click your site name and choose **Admin**.
2. Go to **Settings → Analytics** and click **Edit** next to
   **Third-party code**.
3. Paste the snippet into **Website tracking code**:

   ```html
   <script defer src="https://privatusstats.com/js/pa.js" data-site="pa_YOURSITEID" data-modules="engage,auto,vitals,clicks,ask"></script>
   ```

4. Click **Save**.

Podia adds the code to every public page of your site, including checkout.
Podia places it just before the closing `</body>` tag and does not support
code that must sit in the `<head>`. The tracker uses `defer`, so it works
from the body. See Podia's article
[Installing third-party apps on your Podia site](https://help.podia.com/en/articles/11371020-installing-third-party-apps-on-your-podia-site).

## Logged-in areas

The code does not run in logged-in areas such as the customer Home Feed, so
those visits are not counted.

## Custom domains

Hits are only stored for hostnames among your site's domains. Add your
custom domain, and any Podia address you test on, as an
[additional domain](/docs/getting-started/add-a-site#more-settings-under-site-settings-general).
