# Add Privatus Analytics to Ecwid

> Add cookieless analytics to an Ecwid Instant Site with the custom JavaScript code setting, or to the website where you embed your Ecwid store.

This page is for the Instant Site that Ecwid hosts for you.

1. In your Ecwid admin go to **Website**.
2. Under **Advanced website settings**, click **Add Code** next to
   **Custom JavaScript code**.
3. Paste the snippet:

   ```html
   <script defer src="https://privatusstats.com/js/pa.js" data-site="pa_YOURSITEID" data-modules="engage,auto,vitals,clicks,ask"></script>
   ```

4. Save.

Ecwid limits this field to 4000 characters, which the snippet fits in.

## Ecwid on your own website

If you embed your store on another site, the tracker goes on that site and
counts the store pages there. Follow the guide for that site, such as
[WordPress](/docs/install/wordpress) or [HTML](/docs/install/html).

## Preview and custom domains

Hits are only stored for hostnames among your site's domains. If your
Instant Site is also served on an Ecwid domain, add it as an
[additional domain](/docs/getting-started/add-a-site#more-settings-under-site-settings-general).
