This Acceptable Use Policy is part of our Terms of Service. It exists to keep Privatus Analytics privacy-respecting for everyone, including your visitors.
You must not
- Send personal data to the Service in URLs, page titles, event names or properties, such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, account or order numbers tied to a person, or user IDs. The PII scrubber is a safety net, not permission.
- Send special category or health data, including protected health information (PHI) under HIPAA. Don't install the tracker on patient portals or other pages that handle PHI.
- Try to identify or re-identify visitors, for example by combining our data with other data, or by encoding identifiers in URLs or properties.
- Track sites you don't control or don't have permission to measure.
- Track without disclosure: your privacy notice must describe your use of analytics.
- Abuse the Service: send fake or automated traffic, overload our infrastructure, exceed or get around rate limits, scrape the app instead of using the API, probe for vulnerabilities outside our disclosure program, or resell access without an agreement.
- Send spam or malware, for example through email reports, alerts, webhooks or status pages, or use the Service to send email to people who didn't ask for it.
- Use the free tools to scan systems you're not authorized to test.
- Use the Service for anything illegal, or to support harassment, discrimination or surveillance of individuals.
What happens if the policy is broken
We'll usually contact you first and ask you to fix the problem, for example by removing personal data from events. For serious or repeated breaches we may delete affected data, suspend collection or suspend the account, as described in the Terms. Report misuse to [email protected] or through the contact form.
