Add Privatus Analytics to Jekyll

Add cookieless analytics to a Jekyll site in your head include, load it only in production builds and keep the site id in _config.yml, on GitHub Pages too.

Add this to _includes/head.html (or your default layout's <head>):

liquid
{% if jekyll.environment == "production" %}
  <script defer src="https://privatusanalytics.com/js/pa.js" data-site="{{ site.privatus_site }}"></script>
{% endif %}

And the site id to _config.yml:

yaml
privatus_site: pa_YOURSITEID

Build with JEKYLL_ENV=production bundle exec jekyll build. GitHub Pages sets the production environment for you.

With the Minima theme, override _includes/custom-head.html instead of copying the whole head include.
