Add Privatus Analytics to BigCommerce

Add cookieless analytics to a BigCommerce store with Script Manager, one script in the head of every storefront page, and check the consent category.

  1. In the control panel go to Storefront → Script Manager and create a new script.
  2. Set the location to Head and the pages to All pages.
  3. Paste the snippet as the script content:

  1. Choose a consent category and save.

BigCommerce's Script Manager docs say All pages covers most storefront pages, including checkout and the order confirmation page.

BigCommerce hides scripts with an unknown consent category on stores that show a cookie consent banner. Pick the category that matches your own legal assessment. Privatus Analytics sets no cookies and stores nothing on the device except a visitor's own opt-out choice.

Which stores work#

Script Manager is not available on Blueprint stores. Stores on Catalyst load scripts set to All pages or Storefront pages. Checkout and order confirmation scripts need Optimized One-Page Checkout.
