This statement lists the cookies and similar technologies used by Privatus Analytics, which is operated by Two Phase LLC. Every cookie we set is strictly necessary and first party, so none needs consent. More about how we handle data is in the Privacy Policy.
On privatusanalytics.com
Our public pages set no cookies for anonymous visitors. We measure our own website with Privatus Analytics, which uses no cookies or device storage and doesn't fingerprint. That's why there's no cookie banner here.
The one thing our pages keep in your browser is your color theme, and only if you pick one with the theme button. Your choice (light or dark) is saved in your browser's localStorage as pa-theme, so the next page opens in the theme you chose. It is a display preference, not an identifier. It is never sent to our servers or used for analytics, and it is removed when you switch back to the system theme or clear your browser data. If you are signed in, the theme is also saved to your account.
Pages with a sign-in or account form (sign-up, sign-in, password reset and similar) set the session cookie below, because it protects the form against cross-site request forgery. Those forms also use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. It runs in a frame served by Cloudflare from its own domain, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
In the app, after you sign in
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_privatus_session | Keeps you signed in and protects forms against cross-site request forgery. The session content is encrypted. | Until you close the browser or sign out |
remember_user_token | Keeps you signed in across browser restarts, only if you tick “Keep me logged in” | 2 weeks, removed when you sign out |
last_site | Remembers the last site you viewed, so the app can open it if you chose that as your landing page | Until you clear it (signed, not readable by scripts) |
share_… | Set on a password-protected shared dashboard after the password is entered, so the password never travels in a URL | 12 hours |
Billing and payment pages load Paddle's checkout, which is provided by Paddle, our merchant of record, under its own cookie and privacy policies.
On your website (the Privatus Analytics tracker)
The Privatus Analytics tracker sets no cookies and uses no localStorage, sessionStorage or IndexedDB, and it doesn't use fingerprinting techniques. The only exception is an opt-out flag, privatus_optout, stored in your site's own localStorage when a visitor chooses to opt out, so that their choice is remembered.
