United Kingdom
UK GDPR
The UK GDPR mirrors the EU GDPR closely, so our approach is the same: legitimate interests for minimized, pseudonymous measurement, with Privatus Analytics as your processor. UK visitors' IP addresses are processed in the US in memory only and never stored.
Our reasoning
Transfers from the UK
Our DPA includes the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Transfers of UK personal data rely on these clauses.
Cookies and similar technologies
The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) apply alongside the UK GDPR. See our ePrivacy and PECR page.
Where the law is uncertain
UK data protection law is being updated, including changes to how analytics cookies and similar technologies are treated. Check the ICO's current guidance.

This is general information about how Privatus Analytics works and how we read the law. It is not legal advice. Laws and regulators' guidance change, and your obligations depend on your whole setup, so check your position with your own counsel.
