Migrate from Matomo
Export aggregated reports from Matomo (for example through its reporting API as CSV) and import them with the Matomo template.

Steps

Create a free account and add your site
Sign up and add the domain. The Free plan needs no card.

Add the Privatus snippet next to your current tool
Run both for two to four weeks so you can compare numbers and check goals before switching.

Recreate goals and funnels
Goals apply retroactively in Privatus, so goals you define now also cover the data collected since you installed the snippet.

Export aggregated reports
Export daily reports for pages, referrers, countries and devices as CSV.

Import with the Matomo template
In Site settings, Imports, choose the Matomo template and review the mapping.

Retire the old installation
Once you've compared numbers, remove the Matomo tag and, if you self-host, archive the database.
