Switzerland
Swiss FADP
The revised FADP in force since September 2023 works much like the GDPR. Swiss visitors' IP addresses are processed in the US in memory only and never stored, and Privatus Analytics acts as your processor.
Our reasoning
Transfers to the United States
Our DPA includes the Swiss amendments to the Standard Contractual Clauses. Transfers of Swiss personal data rely on these clauses.
Transparency
The FADP requires you to inform people when you collect personal data, including the countries it goes to.
Where the law is uncertain
Swiss practice on cookieless analytics is still developing. Check the FDPIC's current guidance.
