Migration guide

Migrate from Senja and bring every testimonial with you

You do not have to start over, and none of your customers' words are left behind. Paste your API key from Senja and your testimonials come across with their ratings, tags, dates, photos and videos. You check everything before it is kept, and a move never counts toward your monthly number of new testimonials.

Import method: Paste your Senja API key, review, done

Steps

  1. 1

Create a free account and add your site

Sign up without a card and add the website your testimonials are about. Testimonials is one of the items in the site's menu.

  2. 2

Copy your API key in Senja

Each Senja project has an API key. Senja's help center shows where to find it.

  3. 3

Paste it under Import, Move from another tool

Choose Senja and paste the key. Your testimonials are read, and the key is deleted as soon as the reading ends. The migration docs show each screen.

  4. 4

    Review what was found

Everything is listed before it is kept. Keep it all or tick the ones you want, and choose whether testimonials that were approved in Senja stay approved.

  5. 5

Let your photos and videos copy

Media is copied into your own library in the background, so nothing keeps loading from Senja.

  6. 6

Replace the snippet on your site

Make a widget, copy its snippet and paste it where the Senja one was.

The Import tab, with a field for a link to your reviews, a choice between a one-time import and a monthly or weekly check, a spreadsheet upload and a move from another tool.
Bring in the reviews you already have.

Questions and answers

How do I export my testimonials from Senja?

With an API key you do not need to. Privatus Analytics reads them for you. Without a key, export a spreadsheet in Senja and use the spreadsheet import.

What happens to the widgets on my site when I leave Senja?

They belong to Senja, so they are not copied. Make a widget here, copy its snippet and paste it where the old one was.

Does moving from Senja use up my plan?

No. A move from another tool never counts toward your monthly number of new testimonials, so everything can come across on any plan.

Do my videos come across on the Free plan?

Yes. Videos that come with a move are copied whatever your plan, and they keep playing. Collecting new video testimonials needs Pro or Business.
