Share a read-only analytics dashboard with a public or password-protected link, embed it in an iframe, show it on a TV wallboard or add a visitor counter badge.

# Share analytics dashboards

> Share a read-only analytics dashboard with a public or password-protected link, embed it in an iframe, show it on a TV wallboard or add a visitor counter badge.

**Site settings → Sharing** creates links to a read-only dashboard for
people without an account.

## Link types

| Type | Who can open it | Plan |

| **Public** | Anyone with the link | All |
| **Password** | Anyone with the link and the password | All |
| **Embed** | Pages that embed it in an `<iframe>` | Pro and up |
| **SSO-restricted** | Members of your SSO identity provider | Business |
| **Wallboard** | A TV showing the [wallboard](/docs/dashboard/live#wallboard). Created from **Live → Wallboard → TV links** (linked from Site settings → Sharing) | All |

Each link has a name, an optional **expiry date** (Pro and up) and can be
revoked at any time. Links look like `https://privatusanalytics.com/share/<token>`,
and the token is long and random.

## What's shared

Choose the sections: Overview, Pages, Sources, Campaigns, Locations,
Technology, Conversions, Events and Live. You can **lock the date range
and filters** (viewers see exactly what you set) or let viewers change
them.

Branding follows your [white label](/docs/reports/white-label) settings
on Business.

## Password links

The password is entered on a form and never travels in the URL. After a
correct password we set a short-lived, signed cookie on our domain for
that link only, which is strictly necessary for the password protection to
work.

## Visitor counter badge

A small SVG badge with your visitor count, for a README or a footer:

## Search engines

Shared dashboards are `noindex` unless you choose to publish a public stats
page that can be indexed.
