Trust

People believe your customers before they believe you

Buyers have learned to doubt what a company says about itself, and polished copy is something anyone can generate now. What still lands is a real customer, in their own words, with their name on it. Your happiest customers have already said those words somewhere. This is how you put them to work.

  • Real names, real words and the sentence that says it best, marked for a reader who skims
  • A verified mark on a testimonial that came through a personal request link or from a review platform
  • Each person's consent is on record, so you know what you may show
A hosted Wall of Love page with a title, an average rating from 283 reviews, a button to the shop's website and three columns of testimonials with highlighted sentences.
A Wall of Love. Every card is something a customer really said.

More sales

Put proof on the page where people decide

Most visitors do not leave because they dislike you. They leave because they are not sure. So put a customer's words exactly where the doubt is, and let someone like them say it was worth it.

  • On your pricing page, a single quote beside the plan people hesitate over
  • On the signup or checkout page, a rating badge or a small popup in the corner
  • On the landing page your ads point at, a carousel or a grid of your strongest quotes
  • Approve a new testimonial and it appears on those pages by itself

More about the testimonial widget

The widget editor with nine layouts to choose from, including carousel, grid, masonry, list, single quote, marquee, avatar strip, rating badge and corner popup.
One paste puts it on a page
<div data-pa-testimonial-widget="wdg_YOURWIDGET" style="min-height:300px"></div>
<script src="https://privatus.page/embed/widget.js" async></script>

Pick one of 9 layouts, set your colors and paste this where the proof should go. The widget editor gives you the snippet with your widget's id filled in.

See it live

This is what your visitors would see

A real widget, fed with made-up testimonials. Switch the layout, swap the stars for hearts and picture your own customers in it.

Know what it did

See whether a testimonial changed anything

A testimonial tool can tell you how often a widget was seen. Privatus Analytics is also your site's analytics, so it can tell you what happened next. We will not promise you a lift. You can measure it on your own visitors.

  • Set a goal for the signup or the purchase and watch its conversion rate on the page that carries the widget
  • Follow the funnel to see whether fewer people leave at the step where you added proof
  • Run an experiment: the page with the widget against a version without it, compared on the goal you choose
  • See which page shows each widget most, counted as daily totals
The Analytics tab of Testimonials, with form views, submissions, completion rate, request answer rate, widget views and wall views, and a chart of form views over 30 days.

Share the love

Happy customers are glad to say so. Make it easy to pass on.

A Wall of Love with its own link

One page for everything your customers said, video and text together, in your brand. Send it when someone asks whether people really like what you do, or place the wall inside a page of your own.

More about the Wall of Love

A picture for every kind word

Turn an approved testimonial into an image for a social post, a slide or an email in one step, in your brand colors. There are 7 templates and 8 sizes to choose from.

The Images tab, showing pictures made from approved testimonials in several templates, each with the customer's words, their name and a star rating.

One place

Every kind word in one library, not in ten tabs

Praise ends up on review sites, in social posts, in emails, in support chats and in screenshots in someone's downloads folder. When you need the right quote, nobody can find it. Bring all of it into one library that the whole team can search.

The Testimonials inbox of a shop, with filters for status, rating and tags on the left, a search box, and testimonial cards with star ratings and a highlighted sentence.
  • Search reads every word, and filters narrow by rating, source, tag, language and date
  • Tags, collections and saved views keep a large library in order
  • The same review is never stored twice
  • Nothing is lost. A deleted testimonial waits in the trash for 30 days, and every edit keeps a history

Start with the reviews you already have

Paste the link to your reviews and choose which ones to keep. Imports never count toward your monthly number of new testimonials, on any plan, so everything can come in on day one.

More about importing testimonials Migrate from Senja Migrate from Testimonial.to

The Import tab, with a field for a link to your reviews, a choice between a one-time import and a monthly or weekly check, a spreadsheet upload and a move from another tool.

12 review platforms

Trustpilot, G2, Capterra, Product Hunt, X, AppSumo, Tripadvisor, Chrome Web Store, Shopify App Store, WordPress plugin directory, Apple App Store, and Google Play. Paste the link to your profile and the reviews are read for you.

Any web page

Praise on your own site or in a public post? Paste the address and the testimonials on that page are picked out for you to check.

A spreadsheet, or one by hand

Upload a CSV or Excel file and match its columns in one step. Or paste in the kind email you got this morning.

Moving from Senja or Testimonial.to

Paste your API key from the other tool, check what was found and keep what you want. Videos and photos are copied across.

Free runs 1 import from a review platform or a web page each month. Spreadsheets and moves from another tool are not limited.

Decide in seconds

New testimonials arrive as pending, and nothing is shown anywhere until you approve it. Go through them one at a time, with one click or one key for each.

Triage showing one pending five-star testimonial in large type, with buttons to reject, skip, approve, tag and add to a collection, each with its keyboard shortcut.

It runs itself

Set it up once, and the kind words keep coming

Collecting testimonials should not be a campaign you run twice a year. Put a link where your customers already are and leave it open. New words arrive by themselves, and you hear about each one.

  • A form link that is always open, as a link, a QR code on a receipt, a popup or a form inside your page
  • Customers answer in their browser, with no app and no account
  • On Pro your review profiles are checked for new reviews every month, and on Business every week
  • An alert when a testimonial arrives, and one click to approve it

More about testimonial forms

The form builder, with the steps Welcome, Rating, Questions, About you, Consent and Thank you, the form's link and the answers it accepts as text, video and audio.
A testimonial form as a customer sees it, on step 3 of 5, asking what changed for them, with buttons to record a video, record audio or write it.

Two minutes for your customer

One question per step, in your colors, on any phone. Written answers on every plan, video and audio on Pro and Business.

A finished request, with counts for emails sent, opened, clicked and submitted, the first email and its follow-up, and the list of people asked.

On Business, the ask comes from you

Connect your own email provider (Amazon SES, Postmark, SendGrid, Mailgun or Resend) and request emails go out from your address, not ours. Add up to 3 follow-ups, send one after each purchase, and see who opened, clicked and answered.

Learn from it

Ask an AI assistant what your customers are telling you

A library of testimonials is also the plainest record you have of what customers value and what bothers them. Connect your AI assistant and ask it across every testimonial and every piece of private feedback at once. Use the answers to steer your product and your wording.

Things you can ask

What do customers praise most, and what do the 3 star reviews complain about?

It reads the words that come up most often with the rating that goes with them, then the testimonials behind them.

Which topics come up more in the last 90 days than in the 90 before?

Recurring words and phrases are counted for both periods, so a rising complaint shows early.

Tag everything that mentions delivery, then draft a case study from our best five about the repair service.

It can tag and sort for you, and write from the real words. It cannot delete anything.

Your assistant connects through the MCP server, on every plan. It signs in as you, and it can do what your role allows. Prefer code? There is an API too.

Fast and private

Proof should not cost you speed, or your visitors their privacy

Trust is the point of the whole thing. So the widget is small, and it does not watch the people who read it.

3.0 KB to load

That is the measured size of the widget script after compression. It loads alongside your page and never holds it up.

No cookies

Widgets, walls and forms set no cookies and store nothing in the browser of the person looking at them.

Video waits for a press

A video shows its poster picture and loads only when someone presses play. Nothing plays by itself.

Nothing follows your visitors

No IP address and no browser details are stored for a viewer or for the customer who wrote the testimonial. Widgets and walls load nothing from another company.

Forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to keep spam out, which you can switch off for a form.

No surprises later

It looks like your brand

Your logo, colors, fonts, corners and stars or hearts are settings on every plan. Business can also write its own CSS.

No charge per widget or per view

Make as many forms, widgets and walls as you need on every plan. Views are counted for your reports and never billed.

Nothing is lost at the limit

When a month's number is used up, a testimonial a customer sends is still stored in full and waits for the 1st or an upgrade. Everything already on your site keeps showing.

Plans

It comes with the plan you already have

Testimonials is part of every Privatus Analytics plan. There is no second subscription. Pro starts at $9 a month and Business at $49 a month, and prices include tax.

Questions and answers

What is a testimonial tool?

It is software that helps you ask customers for testimonials, keep them in one place and show them on your website. People also call it testimonial software. Testimonials in Privatus Analytics does all three, in the same account as your web analytics, so you can also see what the testimonials did.

Why do testimonials matter more now?

Because trust is harder to earn. Anyone can write a confident sales page, so visitors look for something a company could not have written about itself. A named customer describing what changed for them is that thing.

Where should I put testimonials to get more sales?

Where people hesitate. That is usually the pricing page, the signup or checkout page and the landing page an ad points at. Then check the result with a goal, a funnel or an experiment, all in the same account.

How do I collect testimonials from customers?

Create a form and share its link, in an email you already send, as a QR code on a receipt or as a popup on your site. On Business you can also send request emails with follow-ups from your own address. More about forms and requests.

Do my customers need an account or an app?

No. They open your link in any browser, type a few lines or record a video, and they are done.

Can I bring in the reviews I already have?

Yes, from 12 review platforms, from any web page and from a spreadsheet. Imports never count toward your monthly number. More about importing.

Can I move from Senja or Testimonial.to?

Yes. Paste your API key from the other tool and your testimonials are read into a review step, where you choose what to keep. See the guides for Senja and Testimonial.to.

Will the widget slow my site down?

The widget script is 3.0 KB after compression and loads without blocking your page. Videos load only when a visitor presses play.

Does the widget set cookies?

No. Widgets, walls and forms set no cookies and store nothing on the device of the person looking at them.

Can customers record a video testimonial?

Yes, on Pro and Business. They record in the browser on a phone or a computer, or upload a file. A recording can run up to 2 minutes on Pro and up to 10 on Business. Free collects written testimonials.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Free includes 5 new testimonials a month, written ones, with forms, widgets and a Wall of Love. Imports do not count toward the 5. You do not need a card to sign up.

What happens when I reach my monthly number?

Nothing is lost. A testimonial a customer sends through a form is stored in full and waits until the 1st of the next month or until you upgrade. Everything already on your website keeps showing.

Can an AI assistant read my testimonials?

Yes, if you connect one. It can search, count, tag and summarize what your customers said, and read private feedback. It works with your permissions and cannot delete anything.

Can I remove the "Collected with Privatus Analytics" badge?

On Business, yes. On Free and Pro a small badge is shown. Your own logo is on every plan.

Do I have to use the web analytics to use Testimonials?

No. Testimonials works by itself. The widget has its own small script and does not need the analytics script on your site. With both, you can measure what a testimonial did.
